About Me

Now that I’ve engineered light, I’m beginning to architect the clouds.

I am looking to break into tech via the Cloud Computing/DevOps route, after spending the last few years in lighting design and engineering. My goal is to reorient my career towards a faster growing and more dynamic field, and my motivation is to keep challenging, developing and growing.

My enthusiasm for technology first drove me to an engineering education. Now it’s leading me towards ICT. From the first PC I assembled to the automation setups I’ve tried out, there was always joy in building things and making them work. The moment I learned how cloud systems and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) work is the moment I decided I have to learn them, and to one day, work with them.

Aside from some earlier encounters with Python, Ruby the web stack and Linux, I began my new learning track intensively since October. I’ve managed to make learning a daily habit, and so far I’ve completed 15 courses worth 200+ hours on AWS, Python, Ansible as well as DevOps essentials. As of January 2020, I am also certified as an AWS Solutions Architect - Associate. Currently, I am spending my free time further exploring AWS, getting better at Ansible and Python, and planning my next personal project with these tools.

I'm currently based in Helsinki, Finland
